The Horizon 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is the comprehensive transportation plan for the WWW region. It identifies multimodal transportation needs through the year 2045 and provides recommendations to improve system efficiency, functionality, and connectivity. These recommendations include construction of new facilities, enhancements to existing infrastructure, and improved connections between transportation modes.
Projects and strategies in the plan were developed through public and stakeholder engagement, along with extensive analysis of related plans and publicly available data. The LRTP is structured to be implementable. Each project includes cost estimates and is prioritized based on realistic funding projections and anticipated timeframes.
The planning process spanned 15 months and combined data collection, technical analysis, and meaningful community engagement, including conversations with residents, businesses, and regional partners who live, work, and travel throughout the area.
