Obligated Projects

Federal transportation legislation requires Metropolitan Planning Organizations to publish an annual listing of projects that received federal authorization during the previous program year. An obligated project is one for which federal funds have been authorized, creating a legal commitment to reimburse eligible project costs.


The program year follows the state fiscal year, July 1 through June 30. This annual listing increases transparency by documenting how federal transportation funds are invested within the WWW Interstate Planning Commission Study Area.
